New York University sponsored a "CEO Summit" on Rebuilding Confidence in
the U.S. Economy. The conference featured a gathering of prominent CEOs
offering their views on necessary measures to rebuild confidence in the U.S.
economy after the terrorist attacks.
Prof. Nicholas Economides, a professor of economics at the
Stern School of Business and the conference organizer, said, "The recent
terrorist attacks have increased uncertainty in the global economy. In an
unprecedented gathering of top business leaders, the CEO Summit will pull
together values, ideas, and plans for rebuilding confidence in our economy."
